CONSIGNMENT

We consign horses and ponies on a case by case basis. Horses are listed for sale after our standard evaluation period. During this time, we spend 5-6 days a week with the horse and get to know it to the best of our ability so that it is advertised 100% honestly. We do not base ads only off of owner heresy or opinion, but a combination of the two and our first hand experiences with the animal. We offer 3 different packages for consignment, reach out for more details.

Please note: we do not consign horses with dangerous habits. We stand behind the horses we sell 100%, consigned or not. Horses that have dangerous habits are required to undergo at least 1 month training with us before being listed to thoroughly evaluate triggers and attempt to find solutions for the behavior. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but this keeps us and all our potential clients safe! We will not consign any dangerous horses. All horses are sold to the best fitting homes for them, no exceptions. We reserve the right to refuse to sell a horse to anyone we believe is not a good match for the horse.

5 ESSENTIAL TIPS FOR BEGINNERS

February 4, 2022

Starting from scratch can be overwhelming. Here are some basic tips to remember when starting out brand new!
 1: Don’t give up
Being a cowboy/cowgirl comes with a lot of trials and tribulations. The road to victory will be rough, so keep on pushing! You’ll get there!
2: If you fall off, get right back on
There is a reason this is always said in books, movies etc because it is true! Don’t let the fear of failure stop you from your dream of learning how to ride!
 3: Body language is everything
Learning your horses body language is going to be one of the number one things that keeps you safe and out of harms way. This is one of the few ways you can predict their movements and actions and therefore keep yourself in a safe position.
 4: Patience is key
Patience with yourself and your horse is key. You are building new muscles and skills and that too takes time. Learning how to ride well is a process but so worth it every step of the way! Celebrate the wins and steps, no matter how small!
5: Have fun!
Learning how to communicate and bond with such an amazing animal is one of the greatest things you will ever do, and it is a blast! Even if you mess up, feel behind or get discouraged, laugh it off, pat your horse, pick up the reigns and try again. After all, you are here to enjoy yourself, and we are here because we enjoy sharing that experience with you! Have fun!
